Cho Seung-Hui V-Tech Shooter

Well, I will jump on the issue too since everyone and their mother is talking about it.  The rights to bear arms which is specifically stated in the 2nd amendment of the U.S. constitution and the 9th amendment which stated that we have the un-enumerated rights, including implicitly a right to keep Cho Seung Hui V Tech Shooterand bear arms and a right to have arms for defense.  It is my belief that it is way too easy for people to buy guns in this country.  Alexander Hamilton wrote in the Federalist Papers: “This will not only lessen the call for military establishments, but if circumstances should at any time oblige the government to form an army of any magnitude that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people while there is a large body of citizens, little, if at all, inferior to them in discipline and the use of arms, who stand ready to defend their own rights and those of their fellow-citizens.”  Well, clearly we are living in different times.  What are the political benefits of our government for keeping hand guns readily available.  What is NRA’s role with our government.  These are interesting questions that should be examined.

As the days go on, we will learn more about Cho Seung-Hui and the reasons why he went on his killing massacre.  The reasons (physiological) are just as important as the gun control issue.
