Eye witnesses at the scene claim the six officers tasered him five times and beat him beyond recognition, which the disturbing photo of him in hospital shows. Mark Turgeon, who was there, said: ‘They kept beating him and tasering him. I could hear zapping, and he wasn’t even moving. ‘He had one arm in front of him
like this, he wasn’t resisting. And they kept telling 
him, “He’s resisting, quit resisting”, and he wasn’t resisting.’ Many members of the Fullerton community described Thomas as a passive, peaceful person.
Since his death, his family and members of the community have held protests outside the police department headquarters, looking fo
r answers. Two officers were suspended shortly after the attack but police will not confirm if it was related to the 37-year-old’s death. Local city council member Bruce Whitaker has called for a ‘clear, factual and complete explanation of events which led to the death of Kelly J. Thomas.’ He also wants the D.A. to release a police video that apparently shows the actual beating taking place. Fullerton police Sgt Andrew Goodrich said that Thomas began to fight officers as they tried to search him.
My heart certainly goes out to the Thomas family, also please remember not all Leo’s are murderous thugs, like these rogues who hide behind their badges.
the police men held responsible should have a punishment that serves them right how safe are we supposed t feel when we now that two policemen who are supposed to protect us have just murdered, brutally murdered a young innocent man?
it’s sad.. but in heinsight if the select violent officers weren’t there, he’d be alive. it’s not all their fault. and if Thomas didn’t do what he did to get himself in that position, then he’d be alive, too
it’s both parties faults
The 6 murderers deserve to go to prison for the maximum sentence. They lost the right to becalled public servants when they acted like crazed animals and beat a man to death. They could have easily subdued the guy without hurting a hair on his head. They are no better than common thugs in a bloodthirsty gang.
