OK everyone, I got another young and very talented artist to introduce my readers too.  His name is Jesse Barrera.  Have you heard of him, well probably not.  But now you can say you have heard of him.  As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m on the lookout for young artist wheather it be in music, digital editing or a talented comdian, Today’s Talk is looking to spread the word to all of my international reader.  So back to Jesse Barrera, I found him well reading a blog and I thought “ohhh my God, I can’t believe his voice”.  His songs are totally my style.

So more about Jesse Barrera.  He is 22 from from San Diego, CA and his first CD will be out next week!  It will be available on iTunes and Amazon.com for digital downloads and available on his online store as a physical copy.  Does anyone actually buy physical copies of CDs anymore!?

There is surely no shortage of young talent across the globe.  However, there is a shortage of people who have yet to hear of these talented artist.  So, I want to do my part and let my readers know of a young talented Korean artist who made me late for work this morning because I couldn’t stop watching his videos.  I logged into my youtube account and a video popped up that said “featured”.  Now normally, I don’t pay any attention to those videos but this one caught my eye.  The artist is known as JReyez has mad skills in a number of areas.  His youtube account says  “the J stands for the initial of his first name (Justin) and the Reyez (Rise, Eyez with an R) stands for his fast elevation since stepping in to the music game. Born in Seoul, South Korea, this young lyricist displays a disciplined work ethic rarely seen at his age with a quite confidence of an industry veteran.” Check out his skills below.

So what on earth is going over there in Seoul?!  Pure craziness and lots of drama that you will need to eats lots of popcorn for because this is surely exciting.  First, if you don’t know already Jaebeom has left 2PM. Yeahhh…sorry for the folks that thought he was going to return.  It has been confirmed that he will not be back.  JYP Entertainment recently had a conference to discuss 2PM and the whole Jaebeom ordeal.  Well, first it was a 4 hour conference!  Only in S. Korea would this kind of conference take place when someone from a group left.  I actually find it very nice that the company would hold this conference for the fans but 4 hours…those fans were there for business let’s get that straight first.  The hottests’ came out in full force and demanded answers from JYPE and 2PM.  I won’t summarize the whole 4 hour conference you can listen to it yourself or read the English transcripts here but Jaebeom left, who knows what else he did that was even more terrible than that whole Facebook episode.  Did he do drugs, have wild and crazy sex…I don’t know but the fact of the matter is that he left, he is in America and he is not coming back.  So get over it and move on with your lives…hottests’ please move on to the next thing!  If I am to be honest, the group’s vocals are actually below average.  What they have going for them is their looks…only in Korea…well not just Korea can you get away with a bad voice and still be a famous singer.  S. Korea relies more on looks than it does actual talent.

So where am I going with this…ohhh back to the hottests’ and the conference, everyone was a little emotional there and could have said things more politely but it was a very hard and  drawn out conference.  What do I think about thing whole thing?  I think the rest of 2PM members are in it for themselves, they want to have a job, they want to still keep getting paid.  It’s that simple.  So how can they possible help and defend Jaebeom in any way shape or form.

I really love historical drams and Chuno (추노) is going to be a huge hit.  It is actually still airing in Korea and many other countries too as of March 1st.  So if, you haven’t heard about it, where have you been!?  Here is the synopsis.

Synopsis

Set during the Joseon (Chosun) dynasty, Chuno (“Slave Hunter”) takes place in the world of slave hunters and slaves, and focuses on Lee Dae Gil (played by Jang Hyuk), a nobleman whose transformation from a kind lord to a ruthless slave-hunter unfolds with unflinching clarity. Dae Gil is a man of high birth and expected to uphold the family line, but when he falls in love with his kind, beautiful slave, Un Nyun (Lee Da Hae), tragedy strikes. Un Nyun loves him in return, but when Dae Gil’s father finds out, he plans to sell her off. Desperate to help her, Un Nyun’s brother Ki Yoon burns down the house, killing Dae Gil’s parents in the process, and escapes, taking his sister with him.  What happens next…watch it!

Wow, this guy killed it.   He must have spent a lot of time memorizing all those dance moves.  Anyways, a little celebration of some of the hits that came out of Kpop this year.

Well this CD hardly resembles anything that comes from Tibet but I will share some of my favorite songs.  Some of the songs are quite “zen” like and peaceful sounding.  Anyways enjoy!
