This is extremely upsetting. The GOP in my state, Pennsylvania, is seeking to change how PA awards it electoral votes. Why is this important? Because the electoral votes decides who will be our next President.

Senate Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi is trying to gather support to change the state’s “winner-takes-all” approach for awarding electoral votes. Instead, he’s suggesting that Pennsylvania dole them out based on which candidate wins each of the 18 congressional districts, with the final two going to the contender with the most votes statewide.

So far, the idea has received support from colleagues of the Delaware County Republican in the state House and from Republican Gov. Tom Corbett. But Democrats, who have carried the state in presidential contests since 1992, said the shift would erode Pennsylvania’s clout.

How would this change things? Consider that President Obama won Pennsylvania by 10 percentage points in 2008. But:

An analysis by the online news service Capitolwire noted that had the proposed distribution process been in place in Pennsylvania in 2008 before the state lost one congressional district due to a population decline in the 2010 census, Mr. Obama would have won only 11 of the state’s 21 votes.

Yes, that is me. President Obama has lost my support and now my support has turned to Presidential Candidate Ron Paul. His foreign policy is sound. He said it best in the recent debate “America should mind it’s own business” and worry about our troubles within our boarders. Mr. President, you are in trouble when your own base is turning against you. You aren’t strong enough and you kow tow to the Republicans and Wall Street. The recent debt ceiling debate was a prime example of this.

If there were ever a Republican to vote for, I would vote for Mr. Ron Paul. However, the media would have you think otherwise. Today Fox News also known as Faux News said the top three candidates are:

Michele Bachmann,

Mitt Romney,

Rick Perry

Really…is that so Fox News? Do you think your readers can’t fact check your propaganda? The straw poll actually said it was Michele and Ron who were the leaders.

Momentum is growing in Congress behind legislation to enact another “repatriation tax holiday” that allows multinational corporations to bring profits held overseas back to the United States and pay tax...

Momentum is growing in Congress behind legislation to enact another “repatriation tax holiday” that allows multinational corporations to bring profits held overseas back to the United States and pay tax on them at a rate of only about 5 percent (rather than the normal tax rate 35 – 45% on corporate profits ). But the economic or fiscal case for doing so remains poor. Moreover, a new tax holiday would increase budget deficits by tens of billions of dollars over the coming decade. And unlike the 2004 repatriation holiday, which was sold as a “one-time-only” event, a second holiday would send a powerful message to corporations to shift investment and jobs overseas and hold the profits there — until yet another tax holiday is declared. Indeed, enactment of another such tax holiday would further embed the shifting of investment, jobs, and profits overseas as a major tax avoidance strategy for many U.S. multinational corporations.

Easy to understand explanation:

JuiceMedia RapNews: episode 8. It’s the end of an era. The decade which opened with a ferocious attack in the United States of America, closes with the announcement of the death of its greatest and most conveniently disney-like villain, Usama Bin Laden. In a decade which has been dominated by the Empire Strikes Back, our affable and dextrous host Robert Foster invites us to scrutinise the events shrouding the killing of this twentyfirst-century Goldstein. Joining him in this May retrospective are Rap News regulars, General Baxter, the Pentagon’s most effusive spokesperson, attempting uncharacteristically to stay ‘on message’, and his counterpart from the world of alternative academia, the conspiracy industry’s favourite son, Terrence Moonseed. What actually happened in Abbotabad? Do the public have a right to see evidence of this event? What is Terrence wearing on his head? Was justice really served? What next? History is happening.

Big intrusive government is what the conservative party stands for. The Mackinac Center is at the front of this by trying to smear anyone that disagrees with assholes like Gov. Walker.

The Mackinac Center For Public Policy, based in Midland, Mich., submitted the FOIA requests last Friday and Monday to the Labor Studies Center at the University of Michigan and the Douglas A. Fraser Center for Workplace Issues at Wayne State University. A third FOIA was directed to Michigan State University, which has a School of Human Resources & Labor Relations.

As the Daily Kos points out “Intimidation of college professors by conservatives appears to be the latest tactic in their arsenal to destroy unions in existence today and roll back all gains made through collective bargaining in the past. Ensuring that future workers and managers are not sympathetic toward labor unions is the final step in ensuring their demise.”

I was not surprised when I saw abcnews Worldwide News coverage at 6:30pm EST and the lack of coverage on the national protest that are happening. I mean, literally they had a report on it that lasted all but 2 minutes and the coverage didn’t even go in-depth. It was such a shame. Worker rights are being stripped away and the corporate owned media is not covering it. Why , well because the corporations own the media and the corporations are themselves responsible for stripping away workers right through the goons they have in office such as Gov. Walker.

However, there is one good coverage about this that is happening. Thanks Rachel Maddow.
